Summer Together

The activity inside the building may slow down during the summer months, but the activities sure don’t! Why not have some summer fun alongside your Laurel family?

Some of these activities may be offered to a limited group, but we thought you would like to know about them, support them, or perhaps even join them in the future!

Enjoy the (DRUM) Circle

A group from Dayspring Native American United Methodist Church will be here on Sunday, June 12, 2022, 6 – 8 p.m.

We will learn how the Dayspring faith community embraces Native American traditional practices as an expression of love, relationship and connection to Creator—Father Son and Spirit. Know that the Spirit Drum calls and is the heartbeat of the earth carrying our prayers to God.

Meet in fellowship Hall at 6:00pm to share a meal with family and friends old and new, followed by the presentation from Dayspring. We will close with our circle at 8:00 p.m.

Please contact JoAnn to let her know you’re planning to attend!

Cooking a Meal at Ronald McDonald House

As part of our youth ministry, the high schoolers will be heading to the Ronald McDonald house to cook a Sunday lunch.

Paint the Street

Let’s show off our artistic talent (or lack thereof, you decide)! Laurel will have a presence at this year’s Paint the Street event downtown on Saturday, June 25, Noon – 6:00pm (rain date is Sunday, June 26).
We will have a few squares for anyone to join in. There will be pre-drawn designs (like a paint by number) for those who are shy with their painting skills. This adventure will be led by Shelley (LaMantia) Wright.

Sign up online so we know you are coming:

Tower Dedication

A festive event is being planned in July to celebrate the completion of the bell tower. Everyone is invited! Watch for details.
