Cast your Net – Sunday, November 17
The Children’s Sunday groups will go to Fellowship Hall to play through all sorts of net and boat activities. We will have soccer goal shots, B-ball dribble and shoot, Hockey shots, Balloon Volley ball, dip nets, fish nets and more. We will create boats and have boat races and at each stop around the activities we will learn the net stories in the Bible and discover that still today we are to “cast the net” into our neighborhood, community and world.
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” – Matthew 4:19
Children are to start the morning in their class room and the teachers will bring the groups to Fellowship Hall. Got a net in the drive way, front lawn. Basement, family room, bed room or just like watching balls fly into, through, or over nets—this is morning you will want to experience.

CIVIL WAR ERA DISCUSSION GROUP meets Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. in Room 300
Tim Carroll is interested in a group discussion around the Civil War era. “Rather than a discussion of the military history of the Civil War, we would discuss topics including slavery, abolitionism, the era’s politics and the causes of the war. We could possibly discuss whether the Civil War was a “just” war. I am certainly open to other suggestions.”
