Mini-Camp Vacation Bible School

A theme-based VBS mini-camp is offered each summer for children 3 years old through second grade. It is an active learning experience designed to build faith. Children are encouraged to bring their friends, regardless of denomination or church home.

Acolyte Program

Children grades 2-6 are invited to be an important part of worship services as “bearers of the Light,” entering the Sanctuary with the Light (fire) which is then used to light the altar candles. At the end of the service, the acolytes extinguish the candles and bring the Light out with them reminding us that when we go into the World, God is with us.

Third Grade Bibles

Bibles are presented to all third graders each fall to aid in their Christian education. Their Sunday School classes will emphasize Bible skills and children are encouraged to bring and use their Bible each Sunday.

Boy Scout Troop 36

Laurel is a charter partner of Troop 36, serving as an outreach ministry of the church. The Troop meets weekly in person at Laurel on Mondays at 7:00pm and is led by Arlan Juhl and Bill Ettinger.
