Children grades 2-6 are invited to be an important part of worship services as “bearers of the Light,” entering the Sanctuary with the Light (fire) which is then used to light the altar candles. At the end of the service, the acolytes extinguish the candles and bring the Light out with them reminding us that when we go into the World, God is with us.
Bibles are presented to all third graders each fall to aid in their Christian education. Their Sunday School classes will emphasize Bible skills and children are encouraged to bring and use their Bible each Sunday.
