Cards of Caring participants make greeting cards for our Laurel family to celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries and to express our love and support for those in need. Everyone of all ages is welcome and no experience is required. Equipment and supplies are provided.

Meets monthly in person at the church at 6:00pm, every third Tuesday

Clara Swain Circle - United Women in Faith (Formerly UMW)

Led by Dottie Troop

Clara Swain Circle is open to all ladies who are interested in fellowship with others who share an interest in participating in love, caring and global missions.

Meets weekly in person at Laurel at 9:30am, every third Tuesday, September-May

Laurel Book Club

Led by Lori Cour and Connie McGee

This group of readers discuss a variety of books chosen by the group’s participants. Fellowship is part of the evening and includes dessert! You are always welcome, even if you didn’t have a chance to read that month's book. Meets in person at Laurel at 6:00pm on the first Tuesday of the month.

Stitching and fellowship come together as participants work on original and donated works.

Meets weekly in person at Laurel at 9:00am on Wednesdays in the Quilt Room.

Lydia Circle - United Women in Faith (Formerly UMW)

Led by Ruth Ann Hamilton

Lydia Circle is a “hands on” mission group.

Meets monthly at 5:30pm, every fourth Monday, location varies depending on the mission.

United Women in Faith are a powerful, fearless force driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood with a focus on women, children, and youth. We act for justice and transform communities. We believe love in action can change the world.

Stitch 'N Go

Led by Barb Needham and Marty Dahlquist

Stitch 'N Go is a ministry that sews, knits, crochets and crafts items to donate to a variety of missions. This welcoming group not only works hard, but laughs, shares lunch and fellowship and supports each other, making it easy to join — even if you can’t sew, knit or crochet. Tasks include tracing, cutting, ironing and organizing. Equipment and supplies are provided, plus they’ll help you brush up on any skills.

Meets in person at Laurel from 9:30am–2:00pm, every second and fourth Tuesday

Stitch N’Go Around the World!

The Director of Elder Orphan Care, which is based in North Carolina, took these on her recent visit to Romania. The fleece hats were made by SnGo members for previously homeless older adults there.

Van Drivers

Coordinated by Tiffany LeVeque

Volunteers with CDL driver’s licenses transport wheelchair-bound and other individuals who are unable to drive to the church, as well as drive small groups to non-church destinations.

Van drivers are needed every Sunday morning, plus occasional trips for groups
