How & Why

There are many ways to grow and share your faith at Laurel beyond worship services and traditional Bible study (which we do offer). You may prefer to rejoice through music or sewing, or be part of a covenant group which focuses on one another’s wellness. There are many options to fit your schedule and needs. There are no pre-reqs or need to sign up, but if you would like more information or would like to get in touch with a group leader, please email Tiffany at tleveque@laurelumchurch.org and we will be sure to connect you!

Adult Faith Formation

Laurel offers a variety of opportunities for you to study the Bible in a group setting that fits your needs. We also have in-depth studies on changing contemporary issues.

Covenant Groups

Unlike the traditional “Sunday School,” or what we call “Faith Formation,” the Covenant Groups at Laurel are small groups who help one another maintain emotional and spiritual well-being.

Special Interests

These are groups who have common interests such as sewing, scouting, or volunteering in the community. This is a great way to become involved not only in Laurel, but in the Springfield community.

Serve

We can’t do what we do without many hands. Whether you would like to be a part of the Sunday worship service, deliver meals on wheels, chaperone a youth event, or share your unique talents, we have a place for you.

God has also given each of us different gifts to use. If we can prophesy, we should do it according to the amount of faith we have. If we can serve others, we should serve. If we can teach, we should teach. If we can encourage others, we should encourage them. If we can give, we should be generous. If we are leaders, we should do our best. If we are good to others, we should do it cheerfully.
