Pastor Kent Lolling, MDiv, DMin, is a minister whose sermons are Gospel-based, practical and uplifting. He offers guidance for living a fulfilling, God-centered life. Kent warmly welcomes everyone into our Laurel family, and into the family of God.
Kent Lolling has served the United Methodist Church in Illinois since earning his MDiv from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1990. He pastored various congregations in central and southern Illinois until his 2006 appointment as the Director of Connectional Ministries for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference. In July 2014, he was appointed to lead the Laurel congregation as our Directing Pastor.
His education also includes a Bachelor’s of Science, Economics and History degree from Illinois State University, a doctorate degree in Worship, Ministry and Church Architecture from Saint Paul School of Theology, and extensive continuing education that keeps him in step with current ministry needs and trends..
